About Us

In the early days of the pandemic, as gyms closed their doors everywhere, I decided to take matters into my own hands—literally. With the help of some amazing friends, I built a gym at home in my garage. From a handmade squat rack, bench, and deadlift platform (crafted from wood, no less), Castle FY Powerlifting Club was born.

Fast forward to 2023, and Castle FY outgrew the garage. We moved into a purpose-built shed on my property—a space dedicated to strength, resilience, and community. Despite slowly adding commercial-grade equipment, our original DIY creations remain central to the gym, a testament to their durability and the spirit of Castle FY.

This past year has been incredible for us. In 2024, two of our members earned Asia Pacific Champion titles, and one became a World Champion—you can read about Paul's journey in our Blog Series. We also launched the Air Curl campaign to fundraise for a para powerlifting bench, helping us make strength sports more inclusive for all. Find out how you can get involved here.

Now, in 2025, we'll renew our focus and sharpen our creative eye to expand and evolve our range of quality gym and training apparel. Our core designs will continue to celebrate the hard work, grit, and determination that lifters bring to every session, and will be complemented by some snappy new collections currently in the works!
